LeafGuard Gutters of St. Cloud Case Studies: Custom Tip Up Downspout
Our technicians installed a 51′ section of LeafGuard® gutters across the length of the backside of home. It is recommended to have (2) downspouts for runs over 45′. Since the homeowner has a deck on one side of the home, our installers used a combination of our patented LeafGuard® elbow accessories to seamlessy attach the downspout to the home’s siding.
To angle the “crossover” (extension piece that angles from gutter run and overhang to the downspout) towards the siding, they used a “B” elbow and 3′ piece of LeafGuard® downspout and another “B” elbow to keep the downspout flush with the siding. Another 4′ piece of downspout was used to reach the “bump out” where the vinyl siding ends, and the brick siding starts below. (2) “A” elbows were then used to allow the downspout to turn along the bump out angle seamlessly. Another 3′ of downspout was used and our technicians installed the hinge kicker (tip-up) so the downspout can be moved when needed and added a 3′ extension to drain water away from the home’s foundation.
